On July, 15 2010 at 12.00 the session of the sub-committee for foreign direct investment of the committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for investment policy took place on the topic: “Problems of attracting foreign investments to the economy of the RF and their solutions”. Questions connected with the promotion of investment attractiveness of Russia, with mechanisms of attracting foreign investments to the economy of the RF were under discussion on the session. The Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Section S.A. Bashkov participated in the session.

On July, 29 a meeting between the Chairman of the Board of the Section S. A. Kovaliow, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Section S. A. Bashkov and the President of the Russian Builders Association (RBA) took place. Questions of cooperation in the field of attracting investments to the Russian building sector and many other questions of joint working were under negotiation at the meeting. At the end of the meeting the agreement on mutual cooperation between the Section of International cooperation of regions and the RBA was signed.
From the 7th to the 9th of June 2010 the second international exhibition “Arabia-EXPO 2010” takes place in Moscow, MEC “Krokus Expo”. The organizers: Ltd “Arabia-EXPO” and the Russian-Arabic Business Council. With the assistance of: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the RF, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RF, the League of the Arab States, General union of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of the Arab States. Business program: conference “Russia – Arab world. 2nd round”, business dialog “Russia – the Persian Gulf. A new stage of investment cooperation”, subject round-table meetings, bilateral meetings in which chiefs of the Russian and Arab government institutions, ministries and departments, headmen of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, presidents of the largest companies and business-elite of Russia and of the Arab States will participate. Participants: delegations from Iraq, Bahrain, Morocco, Syria, Sudan, Palestine, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Algerian, Libya, Lebanon, Jordan as well as a separate delegation of entrepreneurs from the Federation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Council for cooperation between the Arab States of the Persian Gulf. Invited are: Russian companies that are interested in establishing direct connection with potential Arab partners.
On May, 21 in “National” Hotel under the assistance of the Section of the International cooperation of regions a conference “Single-industry cities – modern solutions” took place. Representatives of the federal authorities, scientific and social organizations participated in the conference. The Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Section S. A. Bashkov made a report “Promotion of the investment attractiveness of single-industry cities – a way of the problem solution” at the conference. At the end of the conference an appeal to the federal executive authorities will be prepared and sent.
In this conference participated Sergey Mironov - the Chairman of the Council of Federation, "Fair Russia" party leader, President of the "Fair World" Institute, Nikolay Levichev - floor leader of "Fair Russia" in the State Duma, Luis Ayala - General Secretary of Socintern, ambassadors of foreign countries, Russian and international experts, leaders of ecological non-commercial enterprises. The Section of International cooperation of regions was represented by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Section S.A. Bashkov. On the conference was represented an investment project "Increase of energy preparedness and ecological efficiency of the Russian Federation economy with the use of incentive mechanism of energy saving and anthropogen emission reduction in the normal course of business and consumption", which won the third place in Russian Best Investment Project competition.
The Directorate of the All-Russia “BUSINESS RUSSIA” competition among young journalists has prolonged the canvass of application till May, 31 2010. As the leader of the Directorate, Bahmatova Elena Sergeevna said, “during the last week we got a lot of appeals from Regional Boards for youth policy and from MSM with a request to prolong the time of application canvass for participating in the All-Russia “BUSINESS RUSSIA” competition among young journalists. The Directorate of the competition concluded to prolong the terms of initiating applications till May, 31 2010 due to the change of the terms of the Popular vote from the 1st of June to the 9th of June 2010”. On the 22nd and the 23rd of April 2010 in Moscow in President Hotel the first International Investment Forum “Industrial parks of regions of Russia – 2010” took place. The organizer of the Forum is an interregional working group for economic development, industry and investments to which representatives from the participating regions belong: Perm, Kaluga, Voronezh, Ulyanovsk, Leningrad, Orel, Lipetsk and Moscow regions. A partner of the Forum is the Section of the International cooperation of regions. The Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Section S. A. Bashkov and the Associate Director of the PR and Marketing Department N. V. Kozhevina participated in the work of the Forum. The interest of the authorities in the development of industrial parks was confirmed by the fact, that the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of the RF, Stanislav Naumov and the Deputy Minister of the economic development of the RF, Stanislav Voskresenskii took an active part in the discussions at the Forum. The participants of the Forum were over 300 delegates from 27 regions of Russia, international representatives from over 20 countries of the world. There were also representatives of authorities: governors, heads of field-oriented ministries, regional ministers. Within the framework of the exhibition over 50 industrial parks were represented. At the end of the two-day Forum an initiative group for creation a self-regulating organization of management companies and representatives of industrial parks was created.
The final meeting of the competition committee of the All-Russian Best Investment Project competition has taken place in the Federation Council under the chairmanship of the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council and also deputy chairman of the Senator Club Council A.P. Troshin. The competition committee included representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Federation Council, State Duma, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Economical Development, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Press Agency “Interfax”, Russian Press Agency “Novosti”, the Senatorial Club and non-governmental organizations. 400 investment projects from 58 regions of Russia have been presented to the competition committee. 302 of them have been admitted. A closed ballot, held during a competition committee meeting, has determined the winners. Members of the committee missing at the meeting voted remotely.
