About the Section
Section of International Cooperation of Regions was set up in 2006.
The activity of the Section is determined by basic purposes and tasks of the Senatorial Club of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and also those purposes and tasks for which it has been set up:
In socio-political sphere:
- All-round assistance to improve image and authority of the Senatorial Club among different foreign institutions as agency, which actively participates in state structure (state system) and favours an intensive growth of Russian national economy and also the Senatorial Club of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation information field widening
- Cooperation organization of the Senatorial Club and regions of the Russian Federation with regional and municipal authorities by making joint working groups for the purpose of opportunity research and practical activity realization intended for solving and implementing socio-political programs and projects in a region’s territory of the Russian Federation;
- Organization and conducting circular tables, conferences and workshops for foreign government representatives, entrepreneurs and political elite for the purpose of informing them about possibilities and peculiarities of conducting a business on the territory of the Russian Federation regions.
- Familiarization foreign citizens with national spirit, culture and moral heritage of regions;
- Objective presentation of cultural, social and economic potential of Russian regions to western businessmen.
In economic sphere:
- Helping Russian regions to create and develop small-to-medium business and also cooperation with already working small-to medium for the purpose of relief action (administrative, consulting and legal) with establishment of business-like cooperation with foreign financial and investment companies, banks, private investors and also industrial enterprises;
- Helping foreign partners with establishment of business-like cooperation in regions of the Russian Federation and also administrative, consulting and law aid with sales promotion and projects implementation;
- Coordination with foreign corporate, financial and government institutions and also with private investors for the purpose of using their financial, technological and other opportunities to create and develop small-to-medium business on the territory of regions of the Russian Federation;
- Assistance to Russian manufacturers with sales promotion on foreign markets and also setting up joint ventures on the territory of foreign countries;
- Searching for foreign partners to promote research and development with further joint venture creation;
- Assistance to Russian small-to-medium business with getting appropriate foreign grants and other financial instruments to develop and implement new technologies, scientific and engineering researches;
- Assistance to set up scientific production funds and unions with participation of scientists from different countries and regions of the Russian Federation;
- Education organization and professional development of technicians and management personnel from Russian small-to-medium business on the basis of leading edge companies and educational organizations.
